Keine Konten, keine Werbung, kein Tracking
Privacy notice for the DroneTools app
Last updated: October 2026
Responsible
CopterTec, email: info@coptertec.de. You can find the full address in our legal notice.
No accounts, no ads, no tracking
DroneTools works without a user account and contains no advertising, no analytics tools and no tracking.
Location and weather data
To show the weather at your location, the app requests your location with your permission. The coordinates are rounded to about 1 km and transmitted to the weather service Open-Meteo only.
DroneTools itself does not store or analyze your location and does not share it with any other third parties. Open-Meteo keeps technical server logs for up to 90 days; they are not linked to your identity (Open-Meteo terms).
Sunrise, sunset and daylight are calculated entirely on your device.
Kp index
The Kp index (geomagnetic activity) is retrieved from the GFZ Helmholtz Centre for Geosciences – without any location data.
Settings and drone profiles
Your settings and drone profiles are stored on your device only. If you export a profile as a file, you decide who you share it with.
Your choice
You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings. Without location, the app cannot show weather for your position.
